You never stop learning. And at the same time, when it comes to diversity, some things we must unlearn.
On the 12th Diversity Day, we want to encourage everyone once again to participate in the free online course Doing Diversity. Developed by Charta der Vielfalt e.V., this course offers a wonderful opportunity to become more conscious and sensitive in dealing with privileges and diversity.
Since last year, the wide range of resources from Charta der Vielfalt e.V. has helped us identify aspects of discrimination in everyday life, understand the dimensions of diversity, and reflect on our own position. This engagement has not only led to a more mindful approach to the topic and the development of a focus area for us but has also resulted in a consulting product for organizations. This offering provides organizations with the opportunity to assess their current practices in various diversity-related fields, reflect playfully on (potentially) new perspectives, and evolve step by step into more inclusive and sensitive organizations.
On a more personal note to close this post: From our own experience, we know that advocating for diversity often requires courage and comes with great responsibility in certain contexts. And while it may sometimes be challenging, we believe it is essential if we want to shape a future that is connected and worth living for everyone.
