In April 2018 the “Association for the Promotion of Biodynamic Agriculture in East Germany e.V.” emerged from the formerly separate regional working communities of Berlin-Brandenburg and Saxony. The new board of directors was constituted from the board members of the two communities. In the course of more than two years of cooperation, potential for improvement became clear, for example in connection with processes of strategy formulation, decision-making and implementation of individual measures. In addition, a further merger with the communities in Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt was to take place the following spring, against the background of the reduction to a total of five state associations throughout Germany. Against the background of this transformational backdrop, a joint retreat, conceptualized and moderated by Age of Artists, was to provide suggestions on how to ensure the future viability of the association.
